我的品味相當不合群。他的容祖兒和他的李克勤都不差，但也不是我熱中的類型。今天iTunes亂播，才忽然發現Phil Harris & Bruce Reitherman的The Bare Necessities很對味。看看原來是來自一位朋友送我的CD。現在才發現，不管有心抑或無意，這位已經走出我生活的女人，在這事上做得最合格。

Quadrennial Jubilee
昨晚是我倆的慶辰，剛好是今年中秋。中秋只是剛好碰上，所以慶日才是不變的主題。
另一個「剛好」是詠儀病了，胃口不佳，晚餐只能小心準備。先到雜貨店購一連皮粟米，用來煮湯。想包她愛吃的韭菜餃子，問題是在這種朔北之野，哪來韭菜？(要找的話是可以，不過中國店太遠，也不一定有。)韭菜先不說，連豬肉也成問題。附近的兩家超市居然沒有免治豬肉，總不能用豬扒包水餃吧？另外粟米煲湯也得有點肉，翻遍這兩家超市卻找不到帶骨的豬肉，連平常「煲湯之友」的急凍小春雞也沒有，全都是一片片抽象地成列平躺在塑料包裡的肉片。洋人的飲食過於文明，看來快要忘記豬牛雞鴨是長甚麼模樣，渾然「所見無非全牛者」的境界。湯要有點骨頭才熬得甜，這點小道理似乎沒有隨全球化傳入西方文明。
文明還文明，節慶歸節慶。我們的周年水餃仍要包下去的。蒼天有眼，找到急凍免治羊肉，本是供人做派用的，也不管得那麼多，就洋為華用包一頓「清真羊肉餃」唄！可是包水餃總不能沒菜的，否則變成麵皮裹肉丸，搵鬼食。上次超市出現過的「青江菜」照例又在關鍵時刻失蹤。搜腸刮肚的想有甚麼可以替代，青瓜番茄波菜露筍全都不行。最後神來之筆想到用Leek來代替。
各位去查字典的話，十居其九都會告訴你leek就是韭菜。其實不然，leek的學名是Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum，韭菜是Allium tuberosum，兩者同是蔥科蔥屬，不過leek要大棵很多，而且是主要吃近根部的白色部份。不管了，買一包baby leek回去(怕一般的貨色質地太粗)做羊肉餃。
這道羊肉餃可說由零包起，因為連皮都要自己和麵搓揉。詠儀說的輕鬆：「去中國店買不就成了嘛。」餃子一半的樂趣在DIY，況且一包現成餃子皮最少五十塊，兩口子要吃到何年何月？說回那個leek真是條硬漢，切得我手軟。末了怕只放leek太單調，撕一片椰菜葉亂刀粉碎，保證餡料食味清甜。桿麵皮總是自不似人形始，再漸入佳境。白水煮熟，配基本的沾醬：醬油、生蒜泥和白糖。忘了放少許醋，要不然更妙。
說回粟米湯，無計可施之下買了「連骨雞上脾」來煮湯，可算窮奢極侈。可幸粟米鬚不負所托，煲蓋一掀清香撲面，連感冒中的詠儀也說很香。
我倆的「亞麻」(linen)周年紀念就是在羊肉、粟米、月光和高燒之下度過。算是四年以來最正式的一次。
